Three years ago 19 year old, kit Darrant, stabbed his mother more than 100 times with a butcher knife after a usual argument. Her body was then hidden with bed sheets and laundry detergent to mask the smell. While the corpse of his mother lied on the floor, Darrent threw several house parties and had his three year old brother under his care. After complaints of the smell by his party goers, the body was then discovered by his aunt through a surprise visit.

Many of the cases happening in this day of age are more frequently linked to a psychological issue. Darrant was previously diagnosed with a mental disorder after he jumped out of a moving car when he was at young age

Darrant was previously diagnosed, but did not get the care he needed at the time.

There are numerous issues with the mental institution in the world. Patients diagnosed with severe mental disorders do not get the proper care needed to ensure the wellbeing of themselves and others.

Many facilities do not have enough space to hold patients, patients are turned away due to a low income, or doctors aren’t considering the severity of the disorder.

Malpractice is another factor to consider with these mental facilities. When the condition is too severe the patient is restricted and left to sit in a room with their thoughts.

There are a lot of open doors and no one to close them. Children with mental disorders are growing increasingly ill. Mental institutions do not have enough essentials to care for patients. There is malpractice in institutions and with doctors who aren’t tending to patients. The problems are endless, and the blame is simple. The blame falls on everyone turning their backs on someone in need; the blame falls on you and it falls on me for ignoring what’s right in front of us. When there’s something wrong you fix it, but nobody is fixing it, so the blame is on everybody. If you want to know who’s to blame, try looking in the mirror sometime.
