MARTA officials investigating smoke at Midtown train station

Passengers were evacuated from a MARTA train at the Midtown station Monday morning after smoke was reported in the station tunnel, officials said.
Due to a problem at Midtown, major delays in north & SB travel.

The smoke has been cleared, but officials are investigating what led to it, MARTA spokesman Erik Burton said.

No smoke was on the train, he said. Trains are single-tracking on the northbound and southbound rail lines.

No injuries were reported.
