Welcome to Quick Tips, a collection of quick and easy tips that are simply too short to get their own post.
Tile me up!
As of Windows 10’s November 2015 update, there isn’t a surefire way to change the density of Start titles, but the update (available now through Windows Update) lets you display more tiles in each Start column.
By default, Start displays tiles in columns that support up to three medium-sized tiles per column. But Start can be configured to support up to four medium-sized tiles. Here’s how:
- Go to Settings, and navigate to Personalize (Start)
- Enable “Show more tiles”
Slide to zoom
If you’re a Google Maps user that’s missing out on the zoom slider since its recent redesign, here’s how to get it back.
- Go to the zoom buttons on the bottom right corner.
- You’ll notice a popup that says “Show slider.” Click it.
Your mighty zoom slider should return!
