On Oct. 27 family and close friends gathered in the Lovinggood gym for a ceremony to induct senior Julian Rochester into the All-American national football combine.

For sixteen years the All American Bowl recognizes 90 of the nation’s top high school football players, bringing them together for an East versus West match-up. The Bowl is annually held in San Antonio, Texas also known as “Military City USA.” More than 40,000 people from all over the country attend every year.

The US Army All-American team has inducted McEachern football every year since 2008.

“It is an honor to give back to the US Army because they stand for good value and morals of our country,” head coach Kyle Hockman said. “It is great to give back through the tradition of hardworking and talented players at McEachern.”

Rochester is ranked 48 in the nation and five in the state of Georgia.

“The first thing about being an All-American is being modest,” Rochester said.“You must take care of your team, and keep your head up through hard times.”
