I realize that this blog is literally named Workaholic, and you expect me to give you some tip or recommend some app that helps you be a more productive citizen. This week, we’re going to have a little bit of fun.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last nine months or so, Donald Drumpf has taken over the political landscape.
John Oliver tackled the Drumpf sensation Sunday on his HBO show, and dug up the fact that Donald Trump’s ancestors actually changed the family’s name from Drumpf to Trump. Yes, “drumpf,” the sound a root beer bottle makes when falling on the floor of a gas station mini-mart.
With this new-found knowledge, Oliver did what he does best: exploited the information in a moment of comedic genius. This is where our app of the week comes into play.
The Drumpfinator is a Chrome extension that replaces any instance of the name Trump with Drumpf within the browser. For example, if you were to Google “Donald Trump,” you would get a Knowledge Graph box saying “Donald Drumpf, CEO of the Drumpf Organization.”
Admittedly, it’s not the most useful app in the world, but who says that you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Anyways, Workaholic returns to actually helping you in life next week, but until then, follow me around the Interwebs and #MakeDonaldDrumpfAgain.
